I am a FEDANT registered Breastfeeding Counsellor. FEDANT is the national regulator in the antenatal and postnatal sector. As a FEDANT Registered professional, you can be assured that I adhere to rigorous standards of education and practice, demonstrating my commitment to excellence when guiding you through the exciting journey of pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.

I also have almost ten years experience supporting new mothers with infant feeding through peer support and helpline work.
Scope of Support
I provide non-medical breastfeeding and infant feeding support, guidance and education.
My role may include:
Emotional and practical breastfeeding support
Exploring feeding challenges and strategies
Support with positioning and attachment
Information to help parents make informed feeding decisions
Guidance tailored to your individual goals and circumstances
Following sessions, you will receive a written summary including any suggested strategies or agreed action points.
Important Information About My Role
While I have a professional medical background, I do not provide medical care or clinical services within this role.
This service does not include:
Medical advice or medication advice
Diagnosis of medical or feeding conditions
Prescribing treatment or medical intervention
Clinical interpretation of test results or medical data
Individualised medical feeding plans
Replacement for care provided by your GP, midwife, health visitor, infant feeding team, lactation consultant or other healthcare professional
I do not work with:
Premature babies
Babies with significant medical needs
Families where there are safeguarding concerns requiring specialist services
Where appropriate, I may encourage you to seek additional support from your healthcare team or a specialist feeding professional.
Parents remain responsible for decisions regarding their own and their baby’s care.
By engaging with this service, you acknowledge and accept the nature and limits of the support provided.
My aim is always to provide safe, compassionate and evidence-informed support within my professional scope, while encouraging appropriate medical input where needed.
